This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which returns, exchanges, and refunds are available for products purchased through our online store at nbstationery-store.com.
Please read this policy carefully before making a purchase. By placing an order with NB Stationery, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Refund Policy. This policy works in conjunction with our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. Return Eligibility
2.1 General Return Window
We accept returns on most products within fourteen (14) calendar days from the date of delivery. To be eligible for a return, the item must be in its original, unused condition and in its original packaging. All tags, labels, protective wrapping, and accessories must be intact and included with the return. Products that have been used, altered, damaged by the customer, or are missing original packaging may not be eligible for a return.
2.2 Items Eligible for Return
The following categories of products are eligible for return within the 14-day return window, provided they meet the conditions described above: notebooks and journals that are still sealed in their original shrink wrap or packaging; writing instruments (pens, pencils, markers) that have not been used or tested; desk accessories and organizers in their original packaging; planners and calendars that have not been written in; paper clips, binder clips, and similar accessories in unopened packaging; and gift sets and bundles in their original sealed condition.
2.3 Items Not Eligible for Return
The following items cannot be returned or exchanged under any circumstances: products that have been used, opened (in the case of sealed items), written in, or otherwise altered from their original condition; custom-branded or personalized items, including products with engraving, monogramming, or logo embossing (including B2B/corporate custom orders); items purchased during clearance or final sale promotions, which are explicitly marked as non-returnable at the time of purchase; gift cards and digital products; and any items that show signs of deliberate damage, misuse, or negligence.
3. Return Process
3.1 Initiating a Return
To initiate a return, please contact our customer service team at hello@nbstationery-store.com within 14 days of receiving your order. In your email, include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, the reason for the return, and photographs of the item(s) showing their current condition. Our team will review your request and respond within two (2) business days with return authorization and instructions.
3.2 Packaging and Shipping Returns
Once your return has been authorized, you will receive detailed instructions for shipping the item(s) back to our warehouse. Please pack the item(s) securely in their original packaging, if possible, to prevent damage during transit. We recommend using a trackable shipping method and purchasing shipping insurance for the return shipment, as we cannot guarantee receipt of your returned item and are not responsible for items lost or damaged during return shipping.
Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except in cases where the return is due to a defect in the product, an error in the order fulfillment process, or damage that occurred during delivery. In such cases, NB Stationery will provide a prepaid return shipping label or reimburse reasonable shipping costs upon receipt and inspection of the returned item.
3.3 Inspection and Processing
Upon receipt of your returned item at our warehouse, our quality assurance team will inspect the product to verify that it meets the eligibility requirements for a refund. This inspection typically takes three to five (3-5) business days from the date the item is received. If the item passes inspection, your refund will be processed according to the terms outlined in Section 4 below. If the item does not meet the return eligibility requirements, we will contact you to discuss available options, which may include returning the item to you at your expense.
4. Refund Methods and Processing Times
4.1 Refund to Original Payment Method
Approved refunds will be credited to the original payment method used for the purchase. Please allow five to ten (5-10) business days from the date your refund is approved for the credit to appear on your statement. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution and payment provider. We will send you an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.
4.2 Partial Refunds
In certain circumstances, partial refunds may be granted at our discretion. Situations that may result in a partial refund include items that are returned with minor signs of use or handling, such as slight scuffing or minor packaging damage; items returned without all original accessories, packaging materials, or documentation; and items that have been opened but remain in otherwise new condition, where the original seal or packaging has been broken.
4.3 Shipping Costs
Original shipping charges paid at the time of purchase are non-refundable, except in cases where the return is due to an error on our part or a defective product. If you received free shipping on your original order and the return results in the order total falling below the free shipping threshold, the standard shipping cost may be deducted from your refund amount.
5. Exchanges
We currently do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to exchange a product for a different item, size, or color, please return the original item following the process described in Section 3 and place a new order for the desired product. This ensures the fastest processing time and guarantees product availability for your replacement item.
If you received a defective or incorrect item, please contact our customer service team immediately. We will work with you to arrange a replacement shipment at no additional cost, or provide a full refund if the correct item is unavailable.
6. Damaged or Defective Products
If you receive a product that is damaged during shipping or has a manufacturing defect, please contact our customer service team within seven (7) calendar days of delivery. Provide your order number, a detailed description of the damage or defect, and clear photographs showing the issue. Do not discard the product or its packaging until your claim has been fully resolved.
For confirmed cases of shipping damage or manufacturing defects, NB Stationery will offer you the choice of a full refund including return shipping costs, a replacement product shipped at no additional charge, or store credit in the amount of the original purchase price. We reserve the right to request the return of the damaged or defective product before processing a replacement or refund. In all cases, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label for your convenience.
7. Late or Missing Refunds
If you have not received your refund within the expected timeframe after receiving our confirmation email, we recommend the following steps: first, check your bank or credit card statement again, as some financial institutions may take additional time to post the credit; second, contact your credit card company or bank, as processing times vary between institutions; third, if you have completed both steps and still have not received your refund, please contact us at hello@nbstationery-store.com with your order number and refund confirmation details so we can investigate further.
8. Bulk and Corporate Orders (B2B)
Return and refund terms for bulk orders and corporate accounts differ from standard consumer purchases. Bulk orders exceeding 50 units are subject to a restocking fee of fifteen percent (15%) of the order value. Custom-branded items and personalized products ordered under B2B agreements are final sale and cannot be returned or refunded. For defective items within a bulk order, we will replace the defective units at no additional charge. Specific return terms may be outlined in individual B2B agreements and purchase orders, which take precedence over this general Refund Policy where applicable.
9. Promotional and Sale Items
Items purchased during promotional events or at discounted prices are eligible for return under the standard terms of this policy, unless they are explicitly marked as "Final Sale" or "Non-Returnable" at the time of purchase. Refunds for promotional items will be issued at the actual price paid, not the original retail price. Promotional discount codes and offers used at the time of purchase cannot be reissued or applied to future orders after a return is processed.
